Sometimes I find that a story demands to be told, but that doesn't obviate the need to edit it and make it attractive and relevant to a particular audience. Well, not unless I want it to join the drawer with some of my other pieces!DThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11803989273524731892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727076664654425648.post-15884094499415042372012-02-27T14:25:00.797-08:002012-02-27T14:25:00.797-08:00I love this...and completely agree. Other times you need to know your reader before-hand. But before you can do anything about marketing yourself and your book you have to know who your audience will be. And since much of the advice today is to begin building your social network platform as soon as you begin writing that makes knowing who your audience is even more important.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05039139421361895786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727076664654425648.post-29529004093807822252012-02-27T10:29:23.349-08:002012-02-27T10:29:23.349-08:00I think my problem has been figuring out where I b...I think my problem has been figuring out where I belong genre-wise. It took a while for me to find my nich - mid-grade and the low end of YA. Now I feel more align to my audience. Might just have done this with my current WIP, so this smarts.Amaleen Isonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13686047513429707212noreply@blogger.com
